Being a video game purist of sorts and one who likes to do justice to game developers, I rarely employ true cheats, e.g., the kind that require you to type in special codes to give you extra superpowers/stuff. I personally only use these kinds of cheats for PC games after I’ve finished the games they apply to and usually only as a form of cheap entertainment, e.g., let’s walk through walls or go punch a tank, etc.
Actually, I’m much more into game tweaks which don’t necessarily make the game easier but simply more enjoyable. A good example is
tweaking Crysis to disable autosaves at all the checkpoints.
Also, I’m not above using special (*ahem*)
strategies or
hints to make life easier in video games. These
Bioshock cheats come under that category, e.g., how to use the
Hypnotize Big Daddy plasmid without using a whole Eve hypo. That’s not cheating. That’s more like… (*ahem*)…
creatively bending the rules.
Right? …
…heh heh…
Anywho, whatever your video game ethics, this section of
Major Slack is devoted to PC game cheats of all kinds, be they god mode or just window dressing.
Enjoy!
